Although initially a daunting task, we were able to put about 30 second of highly compressed footage on-line. But the time involved in doing so, sending it and viewing it combined with the expense of the equipment, talent & broadband would not support a business model. At least not yet...

Several years later, with the introduction of Apple's Quicktime and Sony's revolutionary new digital camera the VX1000 we re-evaluated our concept and decided to bring it to market. In 1997, reelestates.com was launched. The early videos were distributed on VHS tapes and we gave our customers a 30 second online version that took about 30 minute to see on dial up. T-1 lines were strictly for the big corporations and DSL was not even in the horizon. There was no other virtual tour service in the country. One could say that we were still ahead of our time.

With some seed money and a few years under our belt, reelestates.com had hit the ground running serving South Florida from our new Miami headquarters. The dot com boom was in full effect and we were in the forefront of this technology. Jo-Ann Forster, Carlos Justo and other legendary Miami Realtors signed on and began producing videos of every listing. Miami's Top Producers had a secret weapon and it was reelestates.com. The rich & famous of South Florida were buying & selling real estate off of the thousands of VHS video tapes and online videos that were circulating. A Wimbish Riteway/Sotheby's deal followed and we focused on pioneering a new field and gaining market share. Funded by millions of dollars IPIX made it's initial public offering with $99 dollar 360 degree tours and soon thereafter came the dot com bust which sent us back to the drawing table with a focus on a restructuring a sustainable and profitable business.
